Acceptance is the Key

I have written about this topic before and it is one of the most important things for you to pursue. Without acceptance, you stay stuck in old patterns that can involve judgment. It's time to let go. It's time to be free to experience the richness of life that you deserve.

As the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous states, “Acceptance is the answer to all of my problems today.” Reflecting on past regrets serves no useful purpose. Neither does projecting worry onto the future. What has been just is and what will be, will be. The present is where you are meant to be. In that moment, just accept that what is, is meant to be.

I have experienced a lifetime filled with past judgment and regret. My challenge, as is yours, has been to accept that everything that's happened has served a purpose to bring me to my today. This is the case for you too.

If you don't like where you are now, you can change that by changing your attitudes and beliefs. It all begins with you. If you are having problems accepting yourself, you will also have problems accepting others. This will only lead to conflict. There's no need to stay stuck there.

Just don't beat yourself up about what may seem to have been wasted time. It has been part of your process of becoming. The good news is that you can make the decision to move forward in a more positive direction right now.

Whether or not you know it, you are on a spiritual journey. This life and the people whom you encounter in it are your teachers. That is why it is important to remain open to the lessons before you. When you judge another, you are not seeing them as an equal. At the core level, we are all the same.
The differences we may observe in others is only designed to enhance a diverse life experience.
