To Forgive or Not to Forgive

Should you forgive someone who has done you wrong? Someone who continues to cause trouble for you? The answer is always, YES!"

Forgiveness will free YOU, and that is the only person you can really change in any situation.

Forgiveness is NOT about excusing another person's wrong behavior or letting them walk all over you. It is about being free from the fear, anger, hatred, resentment, and judgment you feel toward another person/situation.

By accepting someone right where he or she is in his/her soul development (or lack thereof) you can become non-resistant (his /her actions do not trigger an emotional response in you) and trust that your life will improve by letting go of this worry.

Forgiveness is always appropriate once you understand how it releases the Universe to work on the other person. Your unforgiveness or need to control another person or situation stifles spiritual growth--your own and the other person's.

I wrote about forgiveness and non-resistance (it's NOT about letting life push you around!) in my book, Whose Stuff Is This? Finding Freedom from the Thoughts, Feelings, and Energy of Those Around You. In it, you will find some surprising answers on this topic!
