Sondra Ray is one of the most dynamic spiritual leaders of our day. She gained international acclaim in the 1970s as one of the pioneers of the Rebirthing Experience. As the author of 17 books on these subjects, Sondra has been the voice and inspiration for the new Divine Feminine that rises above the women's movement, toward a harmoniously balanced age of spiritually enhanced, loving relationships.
Sondra’s husband, Mark Sullivan, is a painter, poet, and presenter of a remarkable scripture known as A Course In Miracles. Mark studied for 17 years with Tara Singh, one of the foremost teachers of A Course In Miracles.
Ever since my rebirthing experience with Sondra and Mark, I’ve been thinking about the Bible verse in John 3:3 in which Jesus said to Nicodemus, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
Being born again means that we have given up the drama of yielding to our ego and have seen past the illusion of duality. In essence, we are attempting to become enlightened and ascend into immortality by recognizing ourselves as one with the Divine creator. The very thing that keeps us “dead” (or dying and reincarnating) is the belief that we are separate from God. When our limiting beliefs are removed, we see the truth of who we really are, which sets us free. Rebirthing removes karma, mental and energetic blockages, detrimental patterns in relationships, guilt, fear, anger, negative thoughts that cause tension, pain, symptoms and disease. Even traumatic past incidents such as birth trauma can be released. Being born again sets the spirit free to live in blissful union with the Divine.
1 Corinthians 15:50-55 says, “Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; We shall not all die, but we shall all be changed. Those who are dead to self/ego shall become incorruptible. Our mortal bodies will be changed into an immortal light body such as Jesus had after his resurrection. When this happens, death is swallowed up in victory.”
The Bible speaks about eternal life many times, but this is not a reference to living in the afterlife—all souls continue to live eternally after their earth experience. The eternal life the Bible speaks about it that of immortality or being able to live in a body indefinitely without having to reincarnate over and over again.

Rebirthing (being born again), ascension, and immortality are concepts that are commonly mentioned in the Bible, but I am almost certain that there are those reading this blog who may think I am pretty far out there in my beliefs. Well, I am! :) I live in a state of endless possibilities, but that's beside the point. Being born again simply means that we have given up our ego and have seen past the illusion of duality. We are trying to live as one in spirit with our creator. We see others as an extension of ourselves and of God or Divine Mother.
Divine Mother is another term our listeners may not familiar with. We live in a male dominant society that has formed religions that only recognize the male half of the divinity. These same religions teach that some people are saved and others are lost—the doctrine of separation from God.
I read Sondra's book, Rock Your World with The Divine Mother, which talks about miracles. By miracles, I mean occurrences that are not typically experienced in our 3D world: instant physical and emotional healing, prophetic visions, apparitions of deceased spirits, immediate materialization of an item, answers to prayer. This is how we are intended to live. Like the ascended Master Jesus did.
"Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love . . . The real miracle is the love that inspires them. In this sense everything that comes from love is a miracle . . . Miracles are habits and should be involuntary . . . Miracles are natural. When they do not occur, something has gone wrong . . . Prayer is the medium of miracles. Miracles are thoughts . . ." ~ excerpts from ACIM chapter 1: 1-11
